Join us at Calypso Imaging, one of the foremost digital imaging studios in the country, for an intensive three-day digital printing workflow class and learn how to get the most out of your own images from soup to nuts.

Concentrating on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.0 and Photoshop CS3 techniques, students will learn about every aspect of digital printing and have their own images printed by Calypso during the workshop.

We will cover the following topics:

• Digital printing options available today (inkjet vs. lightjet, etc.)
• Setting up a fully color-managed workflow
• How to sharpen images for best results
• Techniques for scaling images up and down
• Color profiling, color spaces, and proofing

The class will be held in Calypso Imaging’s Mac-based classroom and will be fully hands-on with lecture and demonstrations followed by student participation.

Each student will be led through the process of preparing their own photos for printing. Proof prints will be made and reviewed, and after further adjustment, final prints will be made. Each stage of the process includes structured demonstrations and optional peer review.
