Please join us on this three day workshop where we will explore and photograph Cape Cod from Chatham to Provincetown. We’ll base this workshop in Chatham but over the course of the workshop we’ll explore all the best the Cape has to offer.
Some of the places and things you will get to photograph are:
Who should attend this workshop? Anyone who is interested in photography and spending 3 days and nights photographing this wonderful seaside area.
We meet around noon in the historic town of Chatham. We’ll have lunch as a group and go though our introductions and give a brief overview of the workshop and what we are planning to photograph.
We’ll spend the rest of the afternoon shooting downtown Chatham. Just before sunset we’ll photograph Chatham Light at sunset and into the early evening. For those who are interested in night photography we will head back into town and photograph well into the night.
We’ll meet before dawn and head up to the National Seashore area of the Cape and spend the entire morning photographing the Seashore and lighthouse. We’ll break for lunch and then reconvene in Provincetown in the mid-afternoon. We’ll spend the rest of the day and night photographing the historic town, lighthouses, beaches, and docks. We’ll stay into the evening (breaking for dinner) and take photos well into the night.
We’ll again meet before dawn and photograph the sunrise in Chatham. After breakfast we’ll have a chance to do a photo review for anyone that is interested. Later in the day we’ll head up once again to the National Seashore and spend the rest of the day photographing. The workshop will end in the mid-afternoon.
As part of the workshop experience, we will provide you with a few essential items that we have found to be indispensable on these trips. The Cape Cod Workshop package includes a GMRS (family band) two-way radio with several-mile range, a bright xenon flashlight for light painting and general navigation, a rugged map of the area, and lots of information about the art and science of photographing on location and specifically in Cape Cod.
The average temperature in Cape Cod in September is in the mid to low 70s, though at night it can get even cooler. Since we will be photographing from before dawn until well into the night, we will experience a variety of different weather conditions so we do suggest you bring a few layers of clothing.
This workshop is not all-inclusive. We will provide a wealth of information about the attractions and restaurants in the area.
The cost for this workshop is only $599 and includes everything listed above.
